USTÁLENÉ OBRAZNÉ PROSTRIEDKY V MORAVSKO-PANÓNSKYCH LEGENDÁCH
(Fixed Expressions in the Moravo-Pannonian Legends)
Abstract: Analysed fixed expressions can be concisely characterized as phraseological and paremiological units belonging to the semantic unit with the religious theme. These units are semantically close by their figurativeness in regard to the occurrence of components in specific constructions. In Slovak phraseology, there exist several classifications of phraseological fund but in terms of our needs, the article focuses on fixed figurative expressions in which the phrasemes mostly of biblical and Christian sources are depicted. Missionaries mentioned in the article significantly influenced and introduced many religious elements to Slovakia by their missionary and translation activities.
